Reconnect

For the past two weeks, my aunt and cousin from France came to stay for a month. I’ve been busy driving them with my parents almost everywhere they wanted: chinatown, out to eat, visiting other relatives, shopping, etc. It was almost a whole day affair. Been waking up at 10ish, take them out and getting back home 7ish. I’m actually getting pooped out. 

My mom bought 3 bus tours for themselves. My mom and them went to San Francisco for 3 days the beginning of last week while I stay home with my dad. My mom decides to stay home for the second trip and made me go with them. I thought we were going to Grand Canyon because I read “Grand Canyon” on the receipt. I guess I read wrong? The receipt is a mess! Anyways, we went to Zion National Park the first day. Slept at Best Western near Bryce Canyon. Woke up at 6am and left at 7am to Bryce Canyon. There was snow on the road so I was actually worried if the bus fishtailed. But nothing happened so I’m fine. It was snowing! I haven’t felt snow in a LONG time! Snowflakes falling and hitting my face. It was cold! Stupid me, I took the chance and didn’t bring my thick jacket. I doubled up with 2 hoodies. It works.

Then we went to Lake Powell. Eh, it was boring because we were stuck there for 2 hours because others took the optional cruise for $39/ea. I don’t have that much cash on me so no go. We then head to Las Vegas and stayed at Circus Circus. I wanted to play roulette but was scared to play in front of my relatives. It’s not the same with friends. They were excited to play the slots though. We played the penny slots. I played the Deal or No Deal slot machine. Pretty fun. I won a few bucks. Most I’ve ever won up-to-date. Gave my aunt $20 to play and my cousin $20 to play. My cousin didn’t bring her passport with me so I was pretty scared the whole time. However, we were left alone for a good amount of time. Then one of the security guys came and we had to leave. Then we slept.

Woke up and we went to the M&M chocolate factory. Then we ate at an asian buffet for $11/ea. Then we’re on our way back home. We stopped by the outlet in Barstow for almost 2 hours. It was really windy. I couldn’t stand still. Didn’t buy anything but my relatives did. I paid for all the eating and tip for the tour guide and driver. They pay for their own purchases. Got home and gave half my winnings to my mom. 

So in a way, I’m glad some things happened. I don’t have a job so I’m spending my time with my family. My mom made me go on this trip and I was able to win some money in Vegas. Enough to give half to her. I’ve been eating at the table with them. 

Besides the whole family thing, I’m glad I was able to find some stuff at the junkyards. I’m glad they’re being sold too so I have some chump change to spend. Sold a few legend fog caps, an accord armrest, and gc coils/sleeves. Picked up another vigor spoiler in black. Gonna put up the white one for sale soon. Finally sold the bmw rims Tony gave me. Also sold a jdm horn cap for my car and the guy asked if I have anything else to sell. I told him what I’m planning to sell and he wants to buy my jdm headlights. I’m still working on refinishing them and he said he has the money when I’m done and ready to sell. So that’s cool! 

My relatives and mom are going on their last tour bus ride to Las Vegas. Wednesday til Sunday. I told my cousin to bring her passport this time so she can play without worry haha. Hopefully they win some money!

They’re gonna leave at the end of next week. I wanna go to France. I’ve been saying that since high school. I need to find a full time job. I want to go to the junkyards again. I’ve stumbled over something when I was researching. Must test this other market. Of course, that’s if I find any good ones, let alone, any.
